Greenhouse is one of the most integration-rich ATS platforms on the market, with more than 500 pre-built connections to sourcing tools, scheduling platforms, assessment providers, background check vendors, and HRIS systems. That ecosystem is a core reason teams choose it: The ATS becomes a system of record that pulls in data from every stage of the hiring process rather than existing as an island.

But the right integration stack looks different depending on the team. Talent teams at startups and high-growth tech companies are usually trying to find and engage scarce technical talent quickly. An agency sources clients across industries and needs tools that scale per-seat costs predictably. And enterprise talent teams have compliance, DEI reporting, and multi-region requirements that smaller teams rarely consider until they scale.

This guide covers the strongest Greenhouse integrations by category and how different teams use each one.

What makes a Greenhouse integration worth using

The best Greenhouse integrations share a few characteristics:

Bidirectional data sync: Information should flow bidirectionally between connected platforms. Updates made in the integrated tool appear in Greenhouse, and Greenhouse stage-changes trigger actions in the integrated tool. One-way syncs lead to data gaps requiring manual auditing and cleanup.

Minimal recruiter overhead: Integrations should reduce human work, not create a new system to maintain. Tools that require constant manual prompting or don't reliably update candidate records take team members’ time and focus away from more valuable work.

Greenhouse as the system of record: The best integrations push data back into Greenhouse rather than creating parallel records elsewhere. If your team needs to check two systems to get a complete picture of a candidate, the integration isn't doing its job.

For agencies and enterprise teams, it’s also important to consider how the integration handles multiple users with different permission levels, and whether it scales without per-message or per-search credit limits that become expensive with high-volume work.

Sourcing integrations

Greenhouse's built-in sourcing capabilities cover job board posting and a basic CRM for talent pools. For teams doing proactive outbound sourcing, a dedicated sourcing integration extends that foundation significantly.

1. Juicebox

Juicebox is an AI-native sourcing platform that integrates with Greenhouse to connect top-of-funnel candidate discovery with structured pipeline management. Recruiters describe the candidate they're looking for in everyday language, and Juicebox searches across over 800 million profiles from more than data sources, including LinkedIn, GitHub, academic databases, and professional communities, returning a ranked shortlist with AI-generated match summaries.

Candidates identified and engaged through Juicebox can be exported directly into Greenhouse as prospects or applicants, with profile data, contact history, and outreach status synced across both systems. Sourcing activity and pipeline activity live in the same place, and recruiters aren't manually transferring candidate records between tools.

The platform fits all three common Greenhouse-using team types in different ways.

  • For in-house teams, Juicebox enables teams to find qualified passive candidates that meet their exact criteria quickly.
  • For agencies, Juicebox is built around the way agency work happens day to day: Managing multiple concurrent requisitions across clients and industries, with transparent self-serve per-seat pricing and built-in outreach that doesn't cap on a per-message credit basis.
  • For enterprise talent teams, Juicebox supports the integration depth and multi-region search that larger functions need.

In addition, Juicebox Agents, an agentic layer that runs sourcing and initial outreach continuously in the background, surfaces candidates and updates the pipeline without requiring a recruiter to initiate each search. For teams running multiple concurrent requisitions or building long-term talent pools, this can be a significant time-saver.

2. LinkedIn Recruiter System Connect

LinkedIn's native Greenhouse integration, called Recruiter System Connect, syncs InMail history, pipeline status, and candidate activity between the two platforms. Recruiters can see LinkedIn outreach directly on a candidate's Greenhouse profile, and pipeline stage changes in Greenhouse reflect in LinkedIn Recruiter.

The main limitation is that it's still constrained to LinkedIn's own network. For roles where the strongest candidates are concentrated on LinkedIn, this is sufficient. For niche technical roles or industries where the candidate pool extends beyond LinkedIn, it's a useful complement to a multi-source tool rather than a complete sourcing solution. For agencies in particular, the per-seat cost is often prohibitive when a recruiter needs licenses across multiple client engagements.

3. Gem

Gem is a recruiting CRM with built-in sourcing capabilities and strong pipeline analytics. Its Greenhouse integration syncs candidate records, outreach history, and pipeline stages bidirectionally, making it a popular choice for teams that want CRM-style nurture workflows layered on top of their ATS.

Gem's strength is in long-term pipeline management and analytics, including tracking source effectiveness, measuring recruiter activity, and reporting on DEI metrics across the funnel. It's less focused on initial candidate discovery and more focused on managing and measuring engagement once candidates are in the pipeline. For enterprise talent teams that need DEI passthrough reporting and consistent funnel analytics across regions, Gem is one of the more mature options on the market. For agencies, it's typically overkill: The analytics depth doesn't translate well to a multi-client, multi-req model.

Scheduling integrations

Interview scheduling is one of the most time-consuming administrative tasks in recruiting, and it's also one of the clearest ROI opportunities for integration. Automating the back-and-forth of finding mutual availability and sending confirmation links saves coordinators hours per week.

4. GoodTime

GoodTime is an interview scheduling platform built specifically for recruiting teams, with a Greenhouse integration that syncs calendar availability across interviewers, sends scheduling links to candidates, and updates pipeline stages automatically when interviews are confirmed.

Where GoodTime differs from general-purpose scheduling tools is in its recruiting-specific logic: It can balance interview load across the team, account for interviewer preferences and constraints, and handle multi-stage scheduling across complex loops. For enterprise teams running high-volume hiring or panel interviews with multiple stakeholders across regions, this reduces coordinator overhead significantly. For agencies coordinating interviews with clients rather than internal interviewers, it's a less natural fit because the panel logic assumes interviewers are within one organization.

5. Calendly

Calendly's Greenhouse integration offers a simple, self-serve approach to scheduling: Recruiters embed Calendly links into outreach templates, candidates book directly from the recruiter's availability, and confirmed interviews sync into Greenhouse.

The tradeoff compared to purpose-built recruiting schedulers is that Calendly doesn't have recruiting-specific logic: It won't balance interview load or handle multi-stage coordination automatically. For small in-house teams and agency recruiters, both of which often handle scheduling on a per-recruiter basis rather than a coordinated panel basis, it's an effective and cost-efficient option.

Assessment integrations

Technical assessments and structured interview tools help teams add consistent, skill-based signals early in the hiring process, before engineering time is spent on onsite interviews.

6. HackerRank

HackerRank's Greenhouse integration allows recruiters to send coding assessments directly from a candidate's Greenhouse profile, with results automatically syncing back into the candidate record. Assessment completion, scores, and code submissions are visible inside Greenhouse, so hiring managers can review them alongside interview feedback and scorecards.

HackerRank supports both take-home assessments and live coding environments, making it suitable for screening large candidate volumes or running structured technical screens for specific roles. For enterprise engineering functions, the platform's structured rubrics and audit trails support compliance and consistency standards. For agencies sourcing technical candidates on behalf of clients, HackerRank typically lives on the client side of the integration rather than the agency side.

7. Codility

Codility is a similar technical assessment platform with a comparable Greenhouse integration. Its differentiation lies in its focus on real-world task-based challenges rather than algorithmic puzzles, which some teams find produces more predictive signal for applied engineering roles.

Background check integrations

Background checks are a post-offer compliance step, but integrating them with Greenhouse removes the manual work of initiating checks, tracking status, and recording outcomes. For enterprise teams hiring across multiple jurisdictions, the integration also creates the consistent audit trail that compliance teams need at scale.

8. Checkr

Checkr is one of the most widely used background check providers in the Greenhouse ecosystem. The integration allows recruiters to initiate background checks directly from a candidate's Greenhouse profile, with status updates and results syncing back automatically. This keeps compliance documentation in one place and removes the manual step of logging into a separate system to check on pending screenings.

9. Sterling

Sterling is an alternative to Checkr with stronger international coverage, making it a better fit for companies hiring across multiple regions where local background check requirements vary significantly. For enterprise talent acquisition functions running multi-region hiring programs, Sterling's coverage in regulated industries is often the deciding factor.

HRIS integrations

The HRIS integration is typically the highest-stakes connection in the Greenhouse stack: It governs how candidate data transfers into the employee record system once an offer is accepted, and errors here create downstream problems in payroll, benefits, and onboarding. For enterprise talent teams managing thousands of new hires per year across regions, getting this integration right is a top priority because the cost of error compounds at scale.

10. Workday

Greenhouse's Workday integration, supported through its HRIS Link tool, syncs new hire data from Greenhouse into Workday automatically when candidates are moved to the hired stage. This removes the manual data entry step that otherwise falls on HR coordinators and reduces the risk of errors in the employee record.

Workday is the most complex HRIS integration in the Greenhouse ecosystem and typically requires dedicated implementation support. Teams that use Workday for payroll and benefits should treat this integration as non-negotiable once hiring volume justifies the setup cost. For enterprise functions, the scaling and audit trail benefits typically outweigh the implementation overhead.

11. BambooHR

BambooHR's Greenhouse integration serves the same function as the Workday connector but is better suited to mid-market and growing in-house teams. Setup is significantly lighter than the Workday integration, and BambooHR's product is more accessible for HR teams without dedicated technical resources.
