Rethinking The Approach to Recruiting
Finding the right people can be challenging, however. Co-Founder & CEO, Felicia Curcuru, wanted to ensure they were maintaining rigorous hiring standards while also increasing the efficiency of the recruiting process.
“It used to feel like I was a few layers removed. I’d talk to the recruiter who’d talk to the sourcer, and by the time the candidate got to me, I often didn’t feel aligned with the profile of the candidate. This would waste time with us interviewing candidates that we weren’t all aligned on in terms of their skillset.”
Binti’s leadership decided to rethink their recruiting approach, adopting a more hands-on style where executives stay closely involved in defining candidate profiles, curating talent pools, and engaging directly with top prospects to ensure alignment with the company’s mission and culture.
This meant, however, spending hours reviewing profiles, switching between tools, and relying on workflows that weren’t built for speed.
Binti needed a faster, more focused way to source talent without sacrificing quality.
Scaling a Startup, Without Scaling a Recruiting Team
With the help of Juicebox, Binti hired 9 of their last 12 roles — including a Chief of Staff, Head of People, and five Strategic Partnerships Leads.

“From first contact to offer, we were under 3 weeks for a lot of these roles. That’s roughly half the time.”

Juicebox also enabled Felicia to lead early outreach efforts while empowering her team to take swift, coordinated follow-ups—making collaboration smoother and more efficient than ever.
“We have quite a few people leveraging Juicebox now. I started out using it to pilot it. Now my Chief of Staff has run several searches. We also have hiring managers leading searches. Before, a hiring manager would need a recruiter and sourcer, now they can just lead a search directly.”

“We’re not really using [legacy recruiting tools] anymore. We phased them all out. Juicebox supports these workflows end to end for us much more effectively, and it’s more affordable.”
